Gregorio Corrales of the Baraboo Clowns really zeroed in on Vancouver hitters at Baraboo Park, blanking them 2-0 on 4 hits. Corrales struck out 4, and gave up 2 walks in defeating the Grizzled Vets.
In 21 starts this season Corrales has compiled a 9-9 record and a 3.86 ERA.

Speaking after the game, the Burlington manager said, "Ernie Kelly had everything going for him. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement... he had it all... masterful."
Kelly held the Vancouver Grizzled Vets to 4 hits and fashioned a fine 7-0 shutout. He had 2 walks and 17 strikeouts in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," the Vancouver skipper told reporters.
Looking at his season stats, Kelly has won 6 and lost 2, collecting 105 strikeouts and 41 walks in 83.1 innings with a 3.02 ERA.

Vancouver center fielder Manuel Reyes really sparkled with the bat today against the Saints. He led the Grizzled Vets to a 3-1 win over Horsham St. Faith by going 5-for-5.
M. Reyes singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 9th.
This year Reyes is batting .259 with 48 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 27 times and has batted in 28 runs.
