| Breaking News |  | Saturday, August 31st, 2030: Stokes Batters Moose Jaw Big Time!
It was a good day for the Victory at Victorville Grounds as they clipped the Moose Jaw Caribou 10-4. It was tremendous day for Bob Stokes, who went on quite a hitting spree with a 5 for 5 barrage.
The Victorville second baseman told reporters after his big 5-hit performance, "I don't have any buzz words. I'm 'not dialed in' or 'in a zone,' as they say. As far as the hitting goes, I try to keep it simple. I try not to look into it too much. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then in a split-second decide to try to hit it. Today I picked up the spin very well."
B. Stokes singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off T. Naomi in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 8th.
So far this season Stokes is batting .338 with 30 home runs.

 | Tuesday, August 27th, 2030: Brimmer Dominates Voodoo in Shutout
Richard Brimmer was dynamite today and just blew Pasadena away in the 4-0 victory. The Moose Jaw Caribou starter had everything working as he hurled a 1-hit shutout over the Voodoo, recording 10 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"He was pure nasty out there today. I don't think any team in the would've had a chance against what he was bringing," said the Pasadena skipper during his postgame press conference.
To this point in the season Brimmer has 10 wins and 8 losses and a 3.94 ERA.

 | Monday, August 12th, 2030: Pina League Names Top Player
Last week Nick Kennedy was the toast of Moose Jaw and the talk of the Pina League -- this week he's the PL - AAA Player of the Week.
The standout first baseman sewed up the award with his .469 average (15-32), 3 home runs, 16 RBIs and 7 runs.
So far this season Kennedy has 23 home runs and a .341 batting average.
