Andy Holmes of the Huntington Hatfields really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 5-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Plattsburgh Nobles with a 3-hit shutout in which he struck out 10 and gave up 1 walk.
This season Holmes has 9 wins and 7 losses and a 2.50 ERA.

 | Thursday, July 11th, 2030: PL - AAA Player of the Week Named
The baseball must have looked as big as a balloon to Jose Camacho of Duluth last week. The first baseman had a 7-game stretch to remember and today he was named the Pina League Player of the Week.
Camacho delivered 19 hits in 33 at-bats to hit .576 with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs.
Presently Camacho is batting .332 with 98 hits and 5 home runs. He has knocked in 22 runs and scored 42 times.

 | Wednesday, July 3rd, 2030: Saints Holliday Smacks 5 Hits!
Tyler Holliday really did a number on the Grizzled Vets in the Horsham St. Faith 16-4 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But Tyler Holliday did just that today for the Saints and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 34-year-old first baseman said after his record-setting performance.
T. Holliday hit an RBI triple in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run triple in the 7th.
Hitting .305 to date, Holliday has 10 home runs and 34 RBIs. He has played in 64 games.
