The Ashland first baseman belted out 125 hits in compiling a .291 batting average and racked up 22 doubles, 4 triples, 26 home runs, 86 RBIs and 81 runs scored. |  | Tuesday, October 9th, 2035: Porter Tops Best Batter List Nate Porter of the Anchorage Ankylosaurs had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2035.
The 27-year-old first baseman put up a .317 average and a .356 on-base percentage, piling up 167 hits, 26 doubles, 12 triples, 29 home runs, 104 RBIs and 76 runs scored. |  | Monday, October 8th, 2035: Ervin Selected JL's Top Pitcher The Terre Haute clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Curt Ervin will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2035 JJ League Outstanding Pitcher Award.
Ervin made 32 starts this year, winning 19 and losing 5. He threw 213 innings, fanned 252, allowed 127 hits and 62 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .170 average as he logged an impressive 1.69 ERA. | |
