 | Friday, June 28th, 2030: Cecil Wilson Wallops 3 Homers for Devhits Cecil Wilson of the Janesville Devhits had a lot to celebrate in today's 14-8 win over the Fox Valley Elves. Three times he celebrated by pounding the ball out of Devhits Ballpark. He kiddingly told reporters after the game, "Hopefully, I can continue to close my eyes and swing as hard as I can. It worked well today." The powerful Janesville right fielder tagged 4 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 6 runs, and scored 3 times in his three-home-run outburst. Wilson added, "Seriously, I just try to swing early and often to give myself a chance. I let the pitcher supply all the power, I just try to figure out how to get the bat on the ball." "We talked about changing our strategy for the third one...and then he hit another homer," the Fox Valley manager said. "We just couldn't get him out." C. Wilson hit a three-run home run off T. Davis in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off T. Davis in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and walked in the 9th. This season Wilson has delivered 79 hits in 261 at-bats for a .303 average with 26 home runs. He is getting on base at a .360 clip and his totals also include 79 RBIs and 54 runs scored.
