 | Monday, June 10th, 2030: Blanton 5-6 Against Princeton It was high-5 day at Ballpark of Nashville, at least for Lindsay Blanton of the Nashville Flyers. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Princeton Eggheads. Blanton smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on a his record-setting day, leading his club to a 17-7 win. His manager said, "Lindsay was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told SION beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." L. Blanton hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off J. Hurlburt in the 9th. Looking at his season stats, Blanton has compiled a .302 batting average and a .365 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 18 runs. |
