Wednesday, June 5th, 2030: Oliver 5-6 for Frost Ferrets
If the Greensboro Freshmen know how best to pitch the Bloomington right fielder Stephen Oliver they didn't tip their hand today. Instead Oliver showed he knew how best to hit them as he easily handled Freshmen pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Frost Ferrets to a 18-3 triumph at Frost Ferrets Ballpark.

He told SION reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball."

The Greensboro skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we may just do that...blindfold him...and then pitch him differently, just to be sure."

S. Oliver hit a solo-shot off A. Andujar in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.

This year Oliver is hitting .328 with 8 home runs and 38 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .369 clip and scored 39 runs.
