 | Thursday, May 9th, 2030: Bologna Rips Orono for 5 Hits During a player's career, there are days that stand out, and this day was definitely special! Brian Bologna went 5 for 6 against the Orono Ingersolls at Ballpark of Greensboro and the Freshmen picked up a 10-7 victory. He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted catcher was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room. "He was patient up there today," the Greensboro skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Bologna has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes." B. Bologna singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a three-run home run off G. Robertson in the 10th. So far in 2030 Bologna is batting .388 with 2 home runs, 17 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 33 hits in 85 at-bats and a .429 OBP. |
