 | Sunday, August 12th, 2029: Big Day with Bat, Knight 5-5 It seemed that Muncie right fielder Chet Knight could do no wrong as the Squires kayoed the Vintners 10-3 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Sonoma pitchers couldn't get him out as Knight seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Squires were stealing signs." growled one unhappy Sonoma fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play." exclaimed the jubilant Knight in the postgame press interview. C. Knight tripled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th. So far this season Knight has hit .333 with 4 home runs, 29 RBIs and and scored 44 times. |
