 | Thursday, August 15th, 2030: 5-Hit Barrage by Okamoto All game long Terre Haute's Hubert Okamoto was rattling the walls at Gravel Dogs Stadium and banging out base hits against the Duluth Prospectors. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Gravel Dogs had a 13-8 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 31-year-old center fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." H. Okamoto singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off J. Ellison in the 9th. This year Okamoto has hit at a .329 clip with 102 hits, 11 home runs, 67 RBIs and 52 runs scored. |
