 | Wednesday, August 14th, 2030: Barnhardt Spins Shutout Pat Barnhardt of the Cape May Flounders spun his magic on the Fond du Lac Marines today. He blanked them 5-0 on 2 hits, registering 14 strikeouts and 2 walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Barnhardt said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Cape May skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone." This season Barnhardt has a 10-10 mark in 23 starts with a 3.54 ERA. He has given up 140 hits in 147.1 innings, struck out 184 and issued 70 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .248 batting average against him. |
