 | Sunday, May 26th, 2030: 5-Hit Barrage by Davis It's not something you read in the sports pages everyday -- a 5-for-5 day. It may only come around once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Nick Davis got one today. He scattered hits all over Foragers Ballpark to pace Stone Mountain to a 14-3 victory over Coast City. The Coast City skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Davis hit several that he is not supposed to hit." N. Davis singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off B. Tookes in the 7th and walked in the 9th. To date Davis has chalked up a .365 average with 1 home run, driven in 17 runs and scored 28 times. |
