 | Thursday, August 2nd, 2029: 5-Hits Blitz by Plainfield's Gamble! It was a parade of hits for Floyd Gamble of the Plainfield Originals...one right after another...a total of 5 for the day. He ravaged the Fond du Lac Marines for 5 hits in his 5 at-bats and propelled the Originals to a 13-1 victory. "Gamble was really good and we were really bad," groaned the Marines manager. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." F. Gamble singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off B. Cabanillas in the 8th. Currently Gamble is batting .385 with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. |
