 | Saturday, August 17th, 2030: Tribble Sharp, Whitewashes Mustardmen Newton Tribble of the Santa Cruz Sea Lions just toyed with the Norwich Mustardmen today, blanking them 5-0. He was almost untouchable, baffling them on a 2-hit shutout with 7 strikeouts and no walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Tribble said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." One of his teammates said it was easy to play behind him today. "It was like he's just playing with the hitters and doing whatever he wanted to do." This season Tribble has worked 80.1 innings with 53 strikeouts en route to a 7-3 record and a 4.48 ERA. |
