 | Saturday, August 3rd, 2030: Hernandez Holds Poughkeepsie Hitless! In a dominant outing, Gilberto Hernandez of Barstow totally silenced the bats of the Poughkeepsie Paladins. In the 1-0 victory he faced only 29 batters, surrendered no hits, had 10 strikeouts and 4 walks. "I'll be very honest with you," his manager said. "I didn't know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning. I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had. Then I happened to notice that they didn't have any hits." Commenting on his defeat, the losing manager told reporters in the clubhouse how he saw the game, "Well, it was pretty simple today, the Brouhaha had all the hits and all the runs. And Hernandez pitched a heck of ballgame." His record this season is 11-8 in 23 starts and Hernandez has a 4.84 ERA. |
