 | Friday, July 19th, 2030: 5-Hits Blitz by Virginia's Spengler! "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Virginia's William Spengler told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well." It definitely turn out well for Spengler today as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats against Seminole. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Woodchucks knocked off the Honkies 15-4 at The Tater Farm. W. Spengler hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off J. Ejea in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. In his 2030 season totals, Spengler has 14 home runs, .278 BA, .387 OBP, 56 RBIs and 59 runs scored. |
