 | Wednesday, June 19th, 2030: Bocanegra Swats #300 The Santa Cruz Sea Lions defeated the Norwich Mustardmen 9-1 yesterday in a game that featured Alejo Bocanegra's 300th career home run. In the clubhouse, the Sea Lions shortstop spoke about the milestone achievement. "To be honest, I don't even remember my first home run," he said. "But this one I don't think I'll forget. Who knows if I'll hit another hundred, or fifty, or even ten?" On his historic day, Bocanegra banged out 1 hit in 5 at-bats and scored 1 run with 3 runs batted in. As far as career numbers Bocanegra has compiled a .329 batting average and collected 3054 hits, 300 home runs and 1414 RBIs. |
