Lightning End Schroer's Streak
Thursday, July 12th, 2063
The streak has been snapped.

Dave Schroer failed to get a hit in today's game against the Lightning and his 21-game hitting spree has come to an end. The 28-year-old Northampton catcher was 0-for-8, but the Dykes got the win and defeated the Lightning 7-6.

"I'm not disappointed at all; I had a great run," Schroer said. "It was fun. I got to 21 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers."

Schroer is hitting at a .334 mark this season. His stats show 22 home runs, 63 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has played 79 games for the Dykes.
