The Boston Pagans outscored the Richmond Confederates, 14-13. Pat Croke led the way, going 4-for-5 for Boston. Dave Ross picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. Stu Blake was tagged with the loss. The last-place Pagans have won 4 in a row.

Croke had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a full count sinker from Stu Blake, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Pagans a 14-13 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Croke.
