Dykes Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
The Northampton Dykes turned back the Norwich Mustardmen, 4-3, at Colmans Stadium. Dave Schroer was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Ed Benintendi earned the save, his 41st, for the Dykes. The losses continue to mount for Norwich, which has now dropped 6 in a row.

Schroer had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch sinker from Pat West, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Dykes a 4-2 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Schroer.

In comments to the Northampton Bulletin, Schroer insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
