FOBL League File

File can be downloaded in-game, so there's really no reason to do a manual download, but if you need/want to, the link is above.

No specific date ... this will always reflect the latest file.

Reset to pre-Opening Day 2032 file is here: http://www.thefobl.com/exports/2032FOBL-pre4.tar.gz

Unfortunately, you'll need to download and extract this one manually ... you can't update from within the game.

For logos and player pics, do this (or if you can wait and want to skip these steps, the feature will be included with the next file):

Go to Game --> Add-ons Central

Click Add Server

In the URL field, enter http://www.thefobl.com/downloads/ootp9.xml and click Save.

Click Reload Add-ons List

"FOBL Extras" should appear in the server list, and "FOBL Graphics" should appear in the Available Add-ons list. Click on FOBL Graphics, and then click Download.

The game *should* take care of the rest at that point, but I haven't fully tested it, so please let me know if it doesn't quite work.

The file is approx. 115 MB, btw.

just got ootp on my work laptop - since i dont have a tar.gz zip opener? how do I download the league file within the game?

That'll open the tar.gz file. You can't download the file in-game until you have a a base league file to update.

its not extracting this file - plus it keeps saving as a tar.tar file.

It's not messed up, it's just two separate extractions. .tar archives all the files, then .gz compresses it.

After you decompress it (the first step), you still need to extract all the files from the archive.

I had to open up the 7-Zip Manager and extract it there. I then copied the files in that utility to Fobl.lg

Were you able to include the "Server Add-ons" in this file, or do we still need to input that manually?

The add-ons file is done through the game, but I haven't updated it since the first release. (Kinda silly to update all player pics now, when a ton of them will be going back to the minors soon.)

you'll need 7 zip first.

I think the file you download, you can overwrite the entire FOBL folder with it - somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I have 7 zip. Not sure exactly where it needs to be saved to and thought there were like 2 extractons or some copying needed

Back in business. I needed a Fobl.lg folder and then had to slap some files into it.

I downloaded the latest file from the first post in this thread, but I can't export or import from the FTP server. I assume nobody else has this issue at the moment.

Is there a starter file I need to install to give me the FTP settings? I don't think this is a firewall problem as I can download from the addon store within the game, and the problem is still there when I disable the firewall.

If the ftp website is ftp.thefobl.com, I can access it without a problem from other programs.

Download link not working atm. Just got a new computer and I'm trying to catch up here. Can someone notify me when the link is working again? Also, what is the official version of OOTP we are running? My download from today says 9.2.13
