    Default Minor League Age Restrictions

Please select your preference. This is non-binding and is just to get a general idea where everyone stands.

(edit: I probably should have included a 4th option at least - keep just a rookie restriction but change the age - but I can't figure out how to edit the poll)

B or C work for me, so add my vote to whatever is leading. If we keep any kind of age limit I would like it to be set in the game. That will make it easier to manage your minor leagues, and it is one less thing that the powers that be need to police.

Can we just eliminate rookie ball?

I hate rookie ball so hard. Killing it would have the same effect as C... EXCEPT BETTER.

FYI: I was testing minor league age limits for my other league and the 'R' age level limits were ignored by the game when using "Ask AI to set up complete minor league system". The settings worked for the other levels, or when manually moving individual players from one level to another.

Voted C. I also kind of like the roster limit suggestion in the other thread, but I'd make it 30 instead of 25 at each level.

It looks like we have a majority that are not happy with the status quo.

I guess the question now is whether we want in game limits for every level or to eliminate the limits altogether.

Only for the rookie league. Buddy's post is a little further up the page.

From an admin standpoint - especially if there's any part of the limits that isn't working, as Buddy pointed out - it's a hell of a lot easier to say "forget the age restrictions entirely". I've been putting off checking the rookie rosters for two reasons: (a) the minor league seasons haven't started, and (b) it's a pain in the ass. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking of asking Wolvie to take that on once the minor league seasons start, if only so I don't have to.

IMHO, from an owner perspective, it's also a lot easier to just forget the age restrictions entirely - if I've got a 22-year old I drafted last year but he's not ready to be promoted, I'd rather keep in in R ball than watch a guy who's struggled in R ball struggle even worse in A.

And while it's not a clear cut majority in favor of removing the limits completely, we've got a clear mandate that we should do something about it. Those of you who voted B - would you support removing limits entirely the status quo?
